The Most Violent Race On The Planet

The most violent race (or people) on the planet are not Whites or Blacks, Muslims or Hindus, Jews or Christians, Atheists or Communists, Europeans or Americans: humanity as a whole is.

Human beings, ordinarily, view themselves as good, decent and law-abiding. Though they may confess to an occasional lapse in judgement as well as to being less than perfect, few would be willing to admit possessing dark, violent streams which flow just beneath the conscious self.

Individuals and nations often commit violent acts for what they consider to be justifiable reasons. Defending oneself or one's compatriots from imminent threat of attack, some manifest or percieved danger, persecution or oppression certainly constitutes just cause. However, violence is also employed to attack, threaten, persecute and oppress others. Unbridled avarice and lust for power are the driving forces and motivating factors in many conflicts and wars.

Because human beings like to think the best of themselves and those they are related to or affiliated with through race and religion, they are apt to characterize other racial or religious groups as less than them. Or perhaps even attribute to them violent and vile tendencies. Thus, some white people may categorize black peoples as inferior and therefore a justifiable target of hate and prejudice; some Christians or Hindus may view Muslims as crazed fanatics belonging to an evil cult, making war against them both reasonable and holy; whilst some of their Muslim counterparts may believe themselves destined for paradise if they wage war against all those they deem to be non-Muslim; some Europeans and Americans may see the rest of the world as their possession, to do as they will with it and its inhabitants, and so on, ad infinitum.

In this sense, people are inclined to view themselves and their preferred or chosen group as being morally superior to others. Ascribing inhumane or merciless traits to others frees human beings from all responsibility for the manner in which they treat those thus described or defined. However, most - if not all - human beings are capable of violence. Whenever they lose sight of the moral values and principles with which they are endowed, they descend to being less than human: in other words, to being immoral and amoral.

The Angels were granted a degree of fore-knowledge about future events and insight into the complex nature of Man. Which is why they disputed amongst themselves about the creation of Adam - representing the human race - and were so audacious as to express their grave concerns to The Creator Himself:

Bismi-Llah-Ir-Rahman-Ir-Raheem
In The Name Of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

Surah 2 Al-Baqarah - The Cow - Verse 30
And lo! Your Sustainer said to the Angels: "Behold, I am about to establish on earth one who shall inherit it."
They said: "Will YOU place on it such as will spread corruption thereon and shed blood - whereas it is we who extol YOUR limitless glory, and praise YOU, and hallow YOUR Name?"
(Allah) aswered: "Verily, I know that which you do not know."

Sometimes human beings or nations invent or create evil ideologies in order to justify the perpetration of violent acts. Ultimately, however, it is the compulsion to violent conduct present in people which leads to conflicts and not the ideologies which they adhere to. The level of violent disorder in the world both explains and manifests that truth:

Surah 30 Ar-Rum - The Byzantines - Verse 41
(Since they have become oblivious of God) corruption has appeared on land and sea as an outcome of what men's hands have wrought: and so HE will let them taste (the evil of) some of their doings, so that they might return (to the right path).

Allah SwT knows best.
